I have eaten at this restaurant twice now with a good friend - once at the old location and once at the new. Both experiences proved to be very disappointing (we only returned because we were convinced that the first time had been a fluke). The food is sub-par...i got the pizza and he got a pasta dish. Both were lacking flavor and the sauce on his pasta dish looked like water with a bit of tomato sauce mixed in. And while its not the most expensive restaurant around, it certainly isn't cheap and the quality of food does not match the pricing. Having given this place two chances now, I will not be returning and will not be recommending it to others. It is sad that such a cute place in such a prime location is such a disappointment.
I have been to a number of Italian restaurants, with going to school in Youngstown and business trips to NYC. This place is definitely tops in the Nati. My girlfriend and I always go here for special nights out. Tasty, quaint and very romantic which makes for a great evening.
Wonderful place! We lived in PA for two years and got to know REAL italian food. This is the only restaurant even close to that in Cincinnati. The atmosphere was quaint, and the food was delicious! We plan to go back again for Valentine's Day...very romantic also.
Went on a Saturday night about 9pm and the place was almost empty. Should have been a sign, especially since there was a show at the Aronoff that night.
The entrees were tasty, if maybe a little overpriced. Our salads were awful. It looks like they were made up and plated ahead of time and just pulled from the fridge before we were served. The result was limp, overly chilled, and tasteless.
Better stemware for the wine is needed.
I enjoyed this place much more when it was Roma Pizza and you could get 2 slices of Pepperoni and be on your way.
